My Mazda6 is a Touring model with the Bose/sunroof package. So, it has all the options I want. Except heated seats. And this cold ass winter we’re having is making me really, really wish I had them. Has anyone on here dealt with having aftermarket heated seats installed?
I’m trying to find local places in Owensboro, Kentucky (where I am) or Evansville, Indiana that offer the service but I’m not having any luck.
Pic for reference. For what it’s worth, my car is the mid-level Touring model, which means it has the “leatherette” (vinyl) seats.

The man you want is called Steve around these parts.
I never thought I’d care about heated seats because my butt can’t feel it anyway. Then I visited my family in single digit weather this last week. Even if I couldn’t feel it directly, they helped warm my whole body. I get it now.

See if there’s a Classic Soft Trim near you. Also try calling up your preferred local Mazda dealer and ask who they use for aftermarket leather. Often times those shops also install heated seats.

Heated seats are a deal breaker for me, I could never have another car without them I’m 100% spoiled.

More trouble than it’s worth, unfortunately, due to the side airbags.

Looked them up. Looks like there’s one in Cincinnati and one in Indianapolis. Both about four hours from me.

That’s what I want. I’m just having trouble finding someone to do it around here. I can’t believe it only takes an hour or so to do!

Beware cheap ones on ebay. This happened to a local guy that installed them in his Taco.

I went to Steve’s shop in charlotte to get my entire interior reupholsted a few years back and they were done within about 2.5 hours. I bet They could knock out some heated seats real quick

Made the mistake of falling in love with my 335i (sport package, rare color combo, good history, etc.) even tho it didn’t have heated seats... it’s been below 20 everyday for about a week. I absolutely regret it.

I typically couldn’t give two cares about heated seats. My butt isn’t normally cold. Hands and feet are a little cold, but that’s it.

Heated seats are the main reason I’m getting a BRZ instead of an FRS

I’ve added them to a Miata and a Subaru. Really not a difficult job, pull the seat, undo the covers (one had a zipper, one had hog rings), stick the pads down and put the covers back on. Wiring is as simple as tapping into 12v and a keyed source and mounting the switches.
